247 - During a walk promoted by the Amor por Goiás Coalition on Monday afternoon (25) in Aparecida de Goiânia, the gubernatorial candidate, Iris Rezende (PMDB), received a demonstration of affection and support from the residents of Aparecida. According to the coalition, around 1,5 people accompanied the delegation that walked along Avenida Independência, which passes through the Independência, Jardim Monte Cristo and Cidade Livre sectors. Iris received handshakes and requests to take the popular selfies.
During the race, the marathon runner Elison Thiago Silva, 62, better known as Bagaceira, announced the arrival of the gubernatorial candidate, waving a flag in one hand. “I greatly admire Iris Rezende's vitality; my dream is to reach his age with such vigor,” he confided. He took the opportunity to challenge the PMDB candidate's opponents. “While many talk about people our age, we invite them to a race,” he joked.
In thanking the residents of Aparecida who participated in the march, Iris emphasized that he will never forget the warm welcome. “I will always remember your affection, you who are part of these moments that took place here in Aparecida de Goiânia.” Iris also asked people to continue the fight alongside him, in favor of Goiás. “This challenge of returning the government of Goiás to the hands of the people is not only mine, but everyone's, especially future generations,” he stressed.
The walk included federal deputy candidate Daniel Vilela (PMDB) and state deputy candidates Dr. Ezízio (PMDB), Dona Carmem (PMDB), Philippe Lasmar (PHS), and Willian Ludovico (SDD). The mayor of Aparecida de Goiânia, Maguito Vilela (PMDB), and the president of the City Council, Gustavo Mendanha (PMDB), also joined the group that walked along Avenida Independência.
