Pernambuco 247 - The PSB candidate for governor of the State, Paulo Câmara, widened the gap over his opponent Armando Monteiro Neto (PTB) just three days before the elections. According to a survey carried out by the Maurício de Nassau Institute (IPMN) and published this Thursday (2) by Jornal do Commercio in partnership with the Leia Já portal, Câmara has 44% of voting intentions while Armando registers 31%.

In the presidential race, President and reelection candidate Dilma Rousseff has 43% and remains technically tied with former Senator Marina Silva (PSB), who holds 41% of the preference of Pernambuco voters.

In the previous poll, released last week, Câmara had 39% and the PTB candidate had 33%. The other candidates, when all percentages were added together, registered only 1% of voting intentions.

Considering only valid votes, if the election were held today, Paulo Câmara would be elected governor of the state in the first round with 57%, against Armando's 42%.

The number of undecided voters dropped from 16% to 15%, while those who said they will spoil their ballot or cast a blank vote fell from 11% to 9%.

Regarding the presidential race, Marina Silva rose only one percentage point compared to the previous study, reaching 41% of voting intentions. President Dilma maintained the same 43% recorded in the previous survey. Meanwhile, the PSDB presidential candidate, Aécio Neves, fell from 4% to 3%.

IPMN surveyed 2.480 voters in Pernambuco between September 29th and 30th, 2014. The survey has a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of two percentage points, plus or minus.
