Amid internal division over renewing the alliance with President Dilma Rousseff for the 2014 elections, the PMDB hopes to win another important ministry in the Esplanade of Ministries. The party's leaders are working to regain the Ministry of National Integration, currently headed by Fernando Bezerra from Pernambuco, of the PSB, who made his positions available to the Planalto last Wednesday (18).

According to a note by Ilimar Franco in O Globo, the PMDB is so interested in the Integration project that it would even be willing to give up returning to the leadership of the São Francisco Hydroelectric Company (Chesf).
