Inflation stable in Recife.

Research conducted by the Getulio Vargas Foundation indicates that the IPC-S (Consumer Price Index - Special) was -0,07 in the first week of July, the same value recorded in the last week of June; of the seven capitals analyzed, only Brasília showed a reduction.

Raphael Coutinho _PE247 – The Weekly Consumer Price Index (IPC-S) remained stable in Recife during the survey conducted on July 7th compared to the one carried out on June 30th. In this week evaluated, the value was -0,07%. The research was carried out by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and released this Tuesday (10). Of the other six capitals evaluated, only Brasília showed a decrease and the other five showed an increase.

The most significant increase was observed in Salvador, where the rate rose from 0,28% in the June 30th survey to 0,48% in the July 7th survey. In the capital of Bahia, there were increases in the rates of five of the eight expense categories, mainly in transportation (from 0,84% ​​to 1,47%).

The other locations that showed higher rates were Belo Horizonte (from -0,02% to 0,14%), Rio de Janeiro (from 0,31% to 0,41%), Porto Alegre (from -0,08% to 0,08%) and São Paulo (from 0,07% to 0,09%).

The only capital city that registered a decrease in the rate of increase was Brasília, whose rate went from 0,24% to 0,16%. The IPC-S for July 7th was 0,19%, 0,08 percentage points above the rate released a week earlier (0,11%).
