Ibope poll: Geddel leads in the Senate race with 36%.
A recent Ibope/TV Bahia (Rede Globo) poll assessing the race for governor of the state also measured voting intentions for the Senate; and once again, former Minister of National Integration Geddel Vieira Lima (PMDB) is ahead of his opponents; the PMDB candidate has 36%, compared to 27% for Otto Alencar (PSD) and 4% for Eliana Calmon (PSB).
Bahia 247 - An Ibope/TV Bahia (Rede Globo) poll, released recently, which assessed the race for governor of the state, also measured voting intentions for the Senate. And once again, former Minister of National Integration Geddel Vieira Lima (PMDB) appears ahead of his opponents. The PMDB candidate has 36%, compared to 27% for Otto Alencar (PSD) and 4% for Eliana Calmon (PSB).
Despite Geddel's lead, Otto's considerable and rapid growth is noteworthy. In an Ibope poll from the 28th, the PMDB candidate had 35% compared to only 17% for the government candidate, a difference of more than double. Otto Alencar jumped 10 percentage points in just 13 days.
Today's survey is registered under number BA000020/2014 and has a margin of error of three percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence level. The survey interviewed 1.500 voters in 84 municipalities.
