The Chamber Bill (PLC) 310 establishes the Special Incentive Regime for Urban and Metropolitan Public Passenger Transport (Reitup), conditional upon the implementation of a single time-based ticket or an integrated transport network. The PLC has been under consideration in the National Congress for about ten years.
A wave of protests has been taking place in several cities across the country to protest against the increase in public transportation fares. The mobilization began in São Paulo last week. The main reason was the increase in the fare from R$ 3 to R$ 3,20.
