Ceará247 - For the third consecutive year, federal deputy José Guimarães (PT) was elected by the Ceará Yearbook as the most influential parliamentarian of the Ceará delegation in the National Congress. "The yearbook is the best publication in the state of Ceará, because the data it provides helps us to develop policies that will help the population," commented Guimarães.

The congressman is described in the Yearbook as follows: "The third most voted federal deputy in Ceará in the 2014 election, Guimarães is the national vice-president of the PT (Workers' Party). He is involved in plenary debates and constantly makes speeches on the floor. He also stands out as a behind-the-scenes negotiator and moves with ease within the ministries. One of the main and most influential figures in the state PT, Guimarães has a strong influence on the party's decisions. In the Chamber of Deputies, he proposed the creation and assumed the presidency of the Permanent Subcommittee for the Northeast. During Dilma Rousseff's second term, he was the Government Leader in the Chamber."
