Guimarães considers the first semester of the Chamber "melancholy".

According to the minority leader in the Chamber of Deputies, the first semester in the House is ending in a melancholy way, having been conducted solely by the interests of the opposition. "It was a bad semester for democracy," he said, recalling that until May there was no committee established and that "the only thing the coup plotters did was vote for that shameful impeachment of President Dilma, which we will reverse in the Senate."

Ceará247 - "A rather unproductive, wasted period." That's how federal deputy José Guimarães (PT-CE) defined the first semester of the Chamber of Deputies. "The semester as a whole ends in a melancholy way," he added.

The minority leader commented that as of May 15th, no committee had yet been established in the House. "The Chamber has been driven solely by the interests of the opposition and the ousted president," Guimarães assessed, referring to Eduardo Cunha (PMDB-RJ).

"It was a bad semester for democracy. We have to work hard to recover the image of the Chamber, which is deeply shaken. It's the end of a semester I don't want to remember anymore. The only thing the coup plotters did was vote for that shameful impeachment of President Dilma, which we will reverse in the Senate," he commented.
