'Recordings reveal that the conspiracy against Dilma is old,' says senator.

Senator Lídice da Mata (PSB) said on Monday that the audios recorded by former Transpetro president Sergio Machado "reveal that the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff was a conspiracy and was sanctioned as a political and parliamentary coup"; Lídice affirms that the so-called fiscal maneuvers were not the real reason for the admissibility of the impeachment, but rather the political motivation of the opposition parties together with the party of the interim president, Michel Temer (PMDB).

Bahia 247 - Senator Lídice da Mata (PSB-BA) said this Monday (30) that the audios recorded by the former president of Transpetro, Sergio Machado, "reveal that the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff was a conspiracy and was sanctioned as a political and parliamentary coup."

Although she was critical of the Dilma government and was part of a bloc of independent parliamentarians in the Senate, Lídice stated that the so-called fiscal maneuvers were not the real reason for the admissibility of the impeachment, but rather the political motivation of the opposition parties together with the party of the interim president, Michel Temer (PMDB).

In an interview with Tudo FM radio, Lídice da Mata also criticized the proposed adjustments by Temer's economic team.

"Workers will be penalized under the pretext of halting the economic crisis. The current government and its allies want to implement 'solutions' that take away their rights, such as delaying the retirement age and other harmful measures."
