'Temer government wants to ruin the image of state-owned companies'
Congresswoman Margarida Salomão (PT-MG) criticized the Michel Temer government, which intends to privatize Eletrobras; "Basic playbook for privatizers: dismantle and 'ruin the image' of state-owned companies to justify handing them over to the market and the logic of profit. The current management of Eletrobras paid almost R$ 2 million for people to speak ill of their own company."
Mines 247 - Federal congresswoman Margarida Salomão (PT-MG) criticized the government of Michel Temer, rejected by almost all Brazilians, which intends to privatize Eletrobras.
"The basic playbook of privatization advocates: dismantle and 'ruin the image' of state-owned companies to justify handing them over to the market and the logic of profit. The current management of Eletrobras paid almost R$ 2 million for people to speak ill of their own company," the congresswoman wrote on Twitter.
According to the congresswoman, "the public interest is far removed from this coup-like management of Eletrobras... Aiming for privatization, the president of Eletrobras is trying to raise his own salary to R$ 77." "Experts denounce: the privatization of Eletrobras is a crime against the Brazilian people," she continued.
