SAO PAULO (Reuters) - The Finance Secretary of the State of São Paulo, Renato Villela, stated this Friday during an event with investors that the state government will analyze the possibility of privatizing the São Paulo state energy company Cesp, a source with knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

Villela's statement came during a breakfast with investors hosted by JPMorgan bank, with the participation of the São Paulo state government secretary. The source interviewed by Reuters was present at the event.

When contacted, the state finance department was unable to immediately comment on the matter.
