Government denies intervention in the sale of Delta.

The Planalto Palace informed, through a statement, that it does not interfere in private operations and called false "the insinuations that the aforementioned operation (change of control of Delta) had the approval of this government."

The government denies, in a statement, any influence on the sale of Delta.

The Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic released a statement saying that "the federal government reiterates that it does not interfere in private operations."

247 – In a statement released this Friday, the Planalto Palace denied any influence in the sale of the construction company Delta, one of the main contractors of the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC). The construction company fell from grace after the links between its directors and the illegal gambling operator Carlinhos Cachoeira were revealed, which ended up initiating a sale process to the holding company J&F, which controls the JBS group.

Regarding the negotiations concerning the change of control of Delta Construção, the federal government reiterates that it does not interfere in private operations.

Therefore, the inferences that the aforementioned operation had the approval of this government are false.

The government warns that the Comptroller General's Office is currently processing a declaration of ineligibility for Delta Construção. Should the Comptroller General's Office conclude that the company is ineligible, it will be barred from contracting with the public administration, in accordance with Law 8.666 of 1993, with present and future economic consequences.
