Government denies fake news spread by Caiado on Interativa radio.

In a statement, the state government refuted false information spread by Senator Ronaldo Caiado (DEM) in an interview on the radio program "Falando Sério" on Interativa radio on Monday morning. The statement says that Caiado, "in the democratic space opened by Interativa to gubernatorial candidates, produced a series of untruths that deserve correction" and affirms that the fake news "threatens democracy." The first piece of fake news debunked in the statement is that the governments of Marconi Perillo (PSDB) did not invest the 12% of the budget mandated by the Constitution in healthcare; the text classifies the comment as an affront to the authorities responsible for the oversight process.

Goiás 247 - In a statement, the state government refuted false information presented by Senator Ronaldo Caiado (DEM) in an interview on the radio program "Falando Sério" on Interativa radio on Monday morning. The statement says that Caiado, "in the democratic space opened by Interativa to gubernatorial candidates, produced a series of untruths that deserve correction" and affirms that the fake news "threatens democracy."

The first piece of fake news debunked in the statement is that the governments of Marconi Perillo (PSDB) did not invest the 12% of the budget mandated by the Constitution in healthcare. The text classifies the comment as an affront to the authorities responsible for the oversight process, "insofar as non-compliance would result in the governor's immediate removal from office." According to the statement, the government goes beyond the legal requirement: in 2014, it spent 12,10% of the budget. In 2015, 12,07%. In 2016, 12,03%. In 2017, it reached 12,09%, according to the Summary Report of Budget Execution from the Finance Secretariat (Sefaz).

The statement asserts that the promise to sign a decree in the first hours of his term to equalize the salaries of military police officers is equally false, as it would be illegal. "This matter can only be altered by a bill with the due approval of the Legislative Assembly," the text warns. Furthermore, the equalization is already foreseen in the methodology formulated in 2016 by the Public Security Task Force, with the participation of the Court of Justice and the Attorney General's Office, which allowed for a competitive examination for 2 new military police officers. "In other words, the salary of R$ 1.500 refers only to the academy and probationary period. Afterwards, the professional moves on to the beginning of their career. It is also important to emphasize that, even in this initial stage, each officer receives a monthly food allowance of R$ 500 and overtime pay (AC-4) with a recent adjustment."

The note also points out that Caiado is unaware of the achievements of the Goiás educational community in recent years. Therefore, he promised to raise the IDEB (Basic Education Development Index) if elected. Goiás ranked 1st in the IDEB for high school and 2nd in elementary school in the 2013 assessment. In 2015, it ranked 1st in middle school with a score of 4.7, above the established target of 4.5. It also ranked 2nd in high school that year. "The IDEB results for 2017, in this second semester, should show Goiás again at the top," the text anticipates.
