Goiás 247 - The Government of Goiás, through the Goiás Housing Agency (Agehab), will open registrations on January 10th for housing in the Vera Cruz Complex, named “Residencial Nelson Mandela”, and Jardins do Cerrado 10 – Phase 6, in Goiânia. By order of Governor Marconi Perillo, the opening notice was published in the Official Gazette of Goiás this Monday (January 2nd). The list of families eligible to participate in the draw will be published on the Agehab website on the scheduled date of March 15th. The draw for the families will be held on March 24th, with the oversight of the Public Prosecutor's Office (schedule below).
Applications can be submitted through the website www.agehab.go.gov.br or at Vapt-Vupt service points until March 10, 2017. Candidates will be selected for 1.131 housing units in the Nelson Mandela Residential Complex and 324 for the Jardins do Cerrado 10. The developments were built with resources from the Cheque Mais Moradia program of the Government of Goiás, through Agehab, and the Residential Leasing Fund (FAR) of Caixa Econômica Federal.
Families with a gross family income of up to R$ 1.800 are eligible to apply, provided they do not own any other type of housing or receive any other government housing benefit, and have a proven connection of at least three years with the municipality of Goiânia. According to the president of Agehab, Luiz Stival, thanks to partnerships between the State, the federal government, and the city hall, the monthly payment for the beneficiary should range between R$ 80 and R$ 270, depending on family income, financed by Caixa Econômica Federal.
The president of Agehab also points out that, in addition to the financing installments, the beneficiary will have to bear the condominium expenses. Stival further emphasizes that, focusing on partnerships and the allocation of resources from the Cheque Mais Moradia program, Governor Marconi Perillo has been revolutionizing social housing in Goiás, bringing dignified housing to the families who need it most.
At the time of registration at Vapt Vupt, the applicant must have the ID and CPF (Brazilian tax identification number) of the holder and all dependents for information verification, as well as proof of marital status, address, income, and voter registration card, CadÚnico number (if applicable), and a medical certificate containing the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) code, if there is someone in the family with a disability.
Priority will be given to the elderly and disabled. Families who have lived in Goiânia for more than 5 years, residents of at-risk, unsanitary or homeless areas, female heads of household, families with children under 18 years of age, families with excessive rent burden, and families with person(s) with disabilities will also have a better chance in the selection process. All information must be confirmed through documentation.
The final result will include a 30% reserve list, which will be used if the selected families have their documentation rejected by Agehab or Caixa. Those who have previously registered for housing with Agehab and were not selected must register again. Registration for both projects is permitted.
The apartments that will be raffled off have 71,5% of the construction completed.
