Bahia 247 – Adding up to 237 trips to the interior of Bahia, Governor Rui Costa visited the 222nd educational institution. This time, in the municipality of Licínio de Almeida, in the southwest, this Saturday (4), the governor visited the Pingo de Gente School. The unit has the best Basic Education Development Index (Ideb) in Bahia in the last three years of evaluation by the Ministry of Education. During the visit, Rui talked to the school community and watched cultural presentations by the students.

Founded in 1979, the municipal school has over 500 students enrolled in early childhood education and elementary school (grades 1-5). "Transformation in education happens through the participation of everyone. Over these two years, I listened to the demands of teachers and students and worked hard to accelerate these transformations. Now we are reassigning 600 teachers so that 100% of schools in Bahia will have pedagogical coordinators from the beginning of the school year. We will also invest R$ 90 million in the renovation and maintenance of our school buildings," stated the governor.

The series of visits to schools is a commitment Rui has made since the beginning of his administration. The state government's objective is to involve teachers, students, families, public authorities, and the private sector to improve free education in Bahia, as advocated by the "Educate to Transform - A Pact for Education" program.
