Governor goes to the US to sign loan agreement.

Sero US$ 500 million released by the World Bank (IBRD). The funds will be used for the construction of UPAs (Emergency Care Units), expansion of the network of technical schools, infrastructure works, and improvement of the state's road network.

Raphael Coutinho _PE247 – To secure the US$500 million loan from the World Bank (IBRD), Governor Eduardo Campos will travel to Washington, D.C., in the United States, this Sunday (8) to sign the contract. The funds will be used for the construction of Specialized Emergency Care Units (UPAEs), the expansion of the network of technical schools, infrastructure works and the improvement of the state's road network. In addition, Eduardo will fulfill other events during three days of administrative agenda.

Still at the World Bank headquarters, on Tuesday (10), the manager will participate in the seminar “Investment Opportunities in the Northeast”. All nine governors of the region were invited to the event. In the audience will be American businessmen interested in investing in Brazil. A day earlier, Eduardo will participate in the event “Brazil - United States: Partnership for the 21st Century” organized by the American Chamber of Commerce. The meeting will include the participation of President Dilma Rousseff, as well as ministers and businessmen from both countries. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was also invited.

On Wednesday (12), the governor meets with his counterpart from the state of Illinois, Pat Quinn. On the agenda, once again, are investment opportunities in Pernambuco.

In January of this year, Eduardo Campos had already visited the US for a series of lectures and the signing of another loan, with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), worth US$200 million, to be used for sanitation works in the Ipojuca River basin.
