Governor discusses refinery with Iranian investors.

On the second day of his official trip to the Middle East, Governor Camilo Santana (PT) discussed the installation of an oil refinery in Ceará with Iranian investors. “I made clear our willingness to bring a refinery to our state and expressed our interest in having Iranian investment in this project. We received a very positive response from the Iranians regarding the feasibility of the deal,” said Camilo.

Ceará247 - Governor Camilo Santana met this Tuesday (17), on the second day of an official mission to the Middle East, with investors from Iran to discuss the installation of the refinery in Ceará. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Petroleum, Abbas Kazemi, who is also president of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC).

The Iranian company is responsible for executing strategic investments in the Oil and Gas sectors and for distributing products marketed by the country's state-owned companies. "I made clear our willingness to bring a refinery to our state and expressed our interest in having Iranian investment in this project. We received excellent feedback from the Iranians regarding the feasibility of the deal," said Governor Camilo Santana, who was accompanied by the special advisor for International Affairs, Antônio Balhmann.

During the meeting, held in Tehran and attended by the Director of Corporate Planning and Member of the NIORDC Management Board, Alireza Arman Moghadam, the governor also presented the Export Processing Zone. This area encompasses the site designated for the refinery and represents a significant advantage for companies interested in investing in Ceará.

Iran and the United Arab Emirates
Also on Tuesday, the Ceará delegation met with the Brazilian ambassador to Iran, Rodrigo de Azeredo. Tomorrow, Governor Camilo Santana and Secretary Antônio Balhmann will travel to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, where they will participate in a meeting with multinational business leaders in the oil, gas, energy, and water sectors. Also in the country, in Sharjah, Camilo Santana will visit one of the world's largest desalination plants.
