Tocantins 247 - Senatorial candidate Eduardo Gomes, along with Governor Sandoval Cardoso, running for reelection with the coalition "The Change We See," visited six municipalities this Monday, the 01st, where they held motorcades and meetings. Gomes presented proposals and highlighted the amendments he secured for the region while serving as a federal deputy.

In Couto Magalhães, Pequizeiro, Goianorte, Itaporã, Colméia, and Guaraí, Gomes witnessed firsthand the growth of the campaign and the affirmation of support from the mayors and the entire population for Governor Sandoval's reelection and his election to the Senate. "We are campaigning in the streets and traveling through all the municipalities of Tocantins, and what we see are works carried out by Governor Sandoval and my amendments being invested in the progress of our state," he stated.

In Goianorte, Mayor Luciano Pereira reaffirmed his support for Gomes and said that, unlike the current senator, Gomes will listen to and fight for the municipalities of Tocantins. "We mayors are tired of going after the current senator and not being heard. We want someone who will represent us, and Gomes will be that person," the mayor emphasized.

On that occasion, Gomes said that if elected senator, his office will always have its doors open to everyone. "I ask God for humility and determination to be a senator of the Republic with the soul of a city councilor, always close to the people of Tocantins."

During their tour of the six cities, from Couto Magalhães to Guaraí, Gomes and Sandoval also witnessed the state's transformation, with cities becoming more beautiful and streets paved thanks to the implementation of the Pró-Município program. "Those traveling for political purposes, including the opposition, pass through the city streets and see good roads and paved streets, and it is our governor, Sandoval Cardoso, who has been making this happen," said Gomes.

The marathon of visits ended in Guaraí, where a large meeting organized by Mayor Genésio Ferneda took place. Ferneda also reaffirmed his support for the candidacies of Sandoval Cardoso and Eduardo Gomes. In his speech, Gomes spoke about the marathon of visits to the municipalities and the acceptance by the population. He thanked everyone for their support and guaranteed the paving of the runway at Guaraí airport.
