Gerpol digitizes Civil Police procedures.

The action developed by the State government already includes the implementation of the Police Procedure Management System for Police Delegates and Clerks (Gerpol) in Palmas, Gurupi, and Araguaína; this tool integrates all police stations in real time, generating standardization of procedures; with the use of Gerpol, a statistical database is generated that will allow the Civil Police to carry out intelligence work aimed at crime prevention; "Even in the implementation phase in some regions, we already have more than 20 reports registered in the system and more than 15 investigations," said the director of information technology at the SSP, Vanderlan Coelho Maciel.

Tocantins 247 - The procedures carried out by the Civil Police (PC) stations are being computerized throughout Tocantins. The action developed by the State government, through the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), already includes the implementation of the Police Procedure Management System for Police Delegates and Clerks (Gerpol) in municipalities such as Palmas, Gurupi and Araguaína.

The tool aims to integrate all police stations in real time, which will generate standardization and uniformity of procedures, as explained by the director of information technology at the SSP (State Secretariat of Public Security), Vanderlan Coelho Maciel. "A team has already received training and is continuing the implementation in the interior of the state. In the first stage, the Police Report system was implemented, and now we are implementing the process of computerizing procedures throughout the state," he said.

According to Maciel, the computerization of police procedures brings more agility to police work and increases the quality of service for society. "Even in the implementation phase in some regions, we already have more than 20 reports registered in the system and more than 15 investigations," he highlighted.

Computerization brings benefits primarily to citizens, because, with the use of Gerpol, a statistical database is generated that will allow the Civil Police to carry out intelligence work aimed at crime prevention. "Because it is standardized throughout the State, the return of a stolen object, for example, becomes much faster, because if it is already part of a police report that has been filed, we know who to return it to," he pointed out.

Virtual Police Station
The Civil Police of Tocantins pioneered the implementation of the Virtual Police Station in 2012. With this technology, citizens of Tocantins can register a police report online at www.ssp.to.gov.br, via the Virtual Police Station link, quickly obtaining answers and, in cases such as lost documents, the report is signed by the responsible officer and can be printed immediately.
