Leonardo Lucena_PE247 – The Joaquim Nabuco Foundation (Fundaj), in partnership with the Banco do Nordeste Cultural Center in Fortaleza (CCBNB), is carrying out the Artistic Residencies project. The aim of the initiative is to stimulate the production of contemporary visual arts in the region. The initiative is from the Ministry of Education (MEC). The six selected artists will receive a cash prize of R$ 15.
Silvia Barreto, coordinator of Educational Visual Arts at the Mauro Mota Cultural Center, explained that artists will not be allowed to produce or present an old work or one that is similar to another already created.
