Ceará 247 - Fortaleza will host the 10th UNE Biennial in January, the "Reinvention Fair," which will occupy one of the main tourist attractions of the capital of Ceará, the Dragão do Mar. It will be a meeting to reinvent the struggles and renew the dreams of more than ten thousand students who will be present at the festival from January 29th to February 1st, 2017. "We are expecting more than 200 buses with delegations from the 27 Brazilian states and various universities. We are organizing the logistics to receive all the students and make this one of the most important biennials in the 80-year history of the UNE," highlighted the legal director of the UNE, Rarikan Heven.

The Biennial encompasses seven areas: literature, performing arts, audiovisual media, visual arts, outreach projects, music, science, and technology.

For Luis Carlos Pereira, vice-president of the UNE (National Union of Students) in Ceará and organizing secretary of the DCE (Student Union) at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), the theme "Reinvention Fair" couldn't be better, since, according to him, it perfectly resonates with the people of Ceará. "We are an inventive people, the irreverence of the people of Ceará is unparalleled. That's why the theme of the Biennial, which will take place in this land of clever, beautiful, and good-humored people, is more than appropriate," he said.
