Health Task Force reinforces dengue prevention in the interior of the State.
Public health agents from the Ministry of Health, seconded to the Government of Minas Gerais, will conduct a sweep of homes, vacant lots, and commercial establishments to assess the situation in each location and eliminate potential breeding grounds for the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
Minas Agency - The Minas Gerais State Health Department (SES) will be present, between April 6th and April 17th, with the Dengue Control Task Force in the municipalities of Alfenas, Betim, Coromandel, Formiga, Ibiá, Paraisópolis, and São Sebastião do Paraíso. Endemic disease agents from the Ministry of Health, seconded to the Government of Minas Gerais, will conduct sweeps of homes, vacant lots, and commercial establishments to assess the situation in each location and eliminate potential breeding grounds for the dengue fever. During this period, various social mobilization activities will be promoted in partnership with schools, churches, businesses, community leaders and associations, and the public authorities. The objective is to involve citizens in the disease prevention and control process through the Social Mobilization Network, which has a representative in each of these municipalities, since most breeding grounds for the dengue mosquito are found in homes.
The idea is to make the population understand their shared responsibility for individual and collective health, adopting habits that prevent the breeding of the dengue mosquito.
