China Radio International The 2nd International Forum on Democracy: The Common Value of Humanity was held in Beijing on the 23rd. Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPCC) and Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPCC, attended the event and delivered a keynote speech.

Hundreds of participants from over 100 countries, regions, and organizations addressed, either in person or online, topics such as "democracy and innovation," "democracy and global governance," "democracy and the diversity of civilizations," and "democracy and the path to modernization."

According to the participants, democracy is a common value of all humanity, and the ways to realize it are diverse. The export of a country's "democratic model" to others, the so-called "democratic reform," separation, and confrontation constitute a violation of the democratic spirit. All countries must respect the diversity of civilizations and the development paths of others, as well as strengthen exchanges and mutual learning in order to promote a Community of Shared Future for Humanity.
