FIFA will discuss reforms with sponsors, says Valcke.

"Clearly, there are a number of sponsors, primarily three, which are Coca-Cola, McDonald's and Visa, who have expressed their concerns and sent a letter to FIFA requesting information," Valcke said during a press conference.

SAINT PETERSBURG (ReutersFIFA will meet with its main commercial partners next month after three major sponsors increased pressure for reforms at the organization responsible for world football following a series of corruption scandals.

FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke said that Coca-Cola KO.N, Visa (VN: Quotes) and McDonald's MCD.N had written requesting information on what is being done to clean up the football governing body, and admitted that the situation has become difficult for attracting new sponsors.

"Clearly, there are a number of sponsors, primarily three, which are Coca-Cola, McDonald's and Visa, who have expressed their concerns and sent a letter to FIFA requesting information," Valcke said during a press conference.

"Two or three days ago we received a letter from all of them offering a joint meeting, so there will be a meeting next month," he said.

The scandals involving FIFA emerged in May, when US prosecutors indicted nine soccer officials, including former CBF president José Maria Marin, and five sports marketing executives, for a series of alleged crimes, including fraud, money laundering, and bribery.
