Fiat begins commercial production of the Renegade.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), which owns the Jeep brand, has begun commercial-scale production of the Jeep Renegade at its factory in Goiana, in the Zona da Mata Norte region of Pernambuco; the automaker's manufacturing plant, budgeted at R$ 7 billion, is scheduled to be officially inaugurated on April 28th.

Pernambuco 247 - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), which owns the Jeep brand, has begun commercial-scale production of the Jeep Renegade at its factory in Goiana, in the Zona da Mata Norte region of Pernambuco. The automaker's manufacturing plant, budgeted at R$ 7 billion, is scheduled to be officially inaugurated on April 28th.

According to the company, since October of last year, 250 units of the Jeep Renegade have been produced so that the vehicle's more than 2 components could be evaluated in tests ranging from body geometry to painting and welding parameters. The Renegade will arrive at dealerships in six versions starting in March.

The FCA factory is expected to generate around 8 direct jobs. The automotive hub created from the installation of the automaker involves 16 other companies that should result in a positive impact of up to 6,5% on the State's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) starting in 2020.
