FHC mentions Marconi among the PSDB's names for 2018.

Former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso stated on Friday (25) that Governor Marconi Perillo is among the names of his party for the Presidency of the Republic; this occurred during a meeting with President Michel Temer at the Palácio da Alvorada; “Here is the future president of Brazil,” said FHC, as reported by the newspaper O Estado de S.Paulo, during a meeting attended by him, Temer, Marconi, Minister José Serra, Senator and National President of the PSDB, Aécio Neves, and the Governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin.

Goiás 247 - Former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso (PSDB) stated on Friday (25) that Governor Marconi Perillo is among the names of his party for the Presidency of the Republic. This was during a meeting with President Michel Temer, at the Palácio da Alvorada, to discuss the crisis involving former ministers Geddel Vieira Lima and Marcelo Calero.

"Here is the future president of Brazil," said FHC, as reported by the newspaper O Estado de S.Paulo, during a meeting attended by him, Temer, Marconi, Minister José Serra (Foreign Affairs), Senator and national president of the PSDB, Aécio Neves, and the governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin.

The column "Direto da Fonte" in Estadão newspaper recorded the former president's statement. "FHC ensured a good mood at the PSDB luncheon with its mayors yesterday in Brasília," stating that, "at a certain point in his speech, with a mischievous look at the table, he said he was happy because 'the future president of Brazil' was sitting there," the column reported.

Governor Marconi Perillo was one of the select group of national leaders with whom President Michel Temer consulted on Friday (25), the day the crisis caused by the confrontation between former ministers Geddel Vieira Lima and Marcelo Calero reached its peak. Marconi met with Temer after the meeting of the PSDB leadership with elected and re-elected mayors of the party, at the Palácio da Alvorada, in Brasília.

Temer and Marconi spoke privately for 15 minutes and then received Governor Geraldo Alckmin (SP), Senator Aécio Neves (MG), Minister José Serra (Foreign Affairs), and former President Fernando Henrique. The president and the PSDB members had lunch at the Alvorada Palace and assessed the effects of the crisis involving Calero and Geddel. The national press covered the meeting, which was first reported by the newspaper O Globo.
