Alagoas 247 - The City Hall of Maceió published, in the edition of this Tuesday (21) of the Official Gazette of the Municipality, the dismissal of two public servants accused of abandoning their jobs. The dismissals are the result of administrative inquiries.

In the publication signed by Mayor Rui Palmeira (PSDB), the city hall invokes articles 163 and 164 of Municipal Law No. 4.973/2000.

The first article considers the unjustified absence of an employee from work for more than 15 consecutive days to be job abandonment. The second article considers habitual absenteeism to be absence, without justified cause, for 30 days, intermittently, during a 12-month period.

Neurologist Jeane Pereira Ricardo and nursing assistant Maria Cícera de Barros were dismissed. Both professionals were, until then, permanent employees of the Municipal Health Department of Maceió.

This is not the first time the city hall has dismissed employees this year. In April, 25 permanent employees were dismissed for illegally holding multiple positions. According to the publication, these professionals held positions at the elementary, secondary, and higher education levels.

In the same month, the City Hall also dismissed 25 employees for unjustified absences.
