Fábio Reis: "PMDB is underrepresented in the Government; it needs to regain ground"
The federal deputy from the PMDB party states that the current climate is conducive to administrative reform, in order to revitalize the government and provide "a better response to society"; from a political standpoint, he says that a change is needed to "rebalance the party composition" in the administration.
Sergipe 247 – If, during the long debate surrounding the approval of Proinveste over the past seven months, there was a public silence regarding dissatisfaction within the government's base, now that the project has been approved (and sanctioned), demands for more space are beginning to gain the spotlight. In the Sunday/Monday edition (May 19 and 20) of Jornal da Cidade, federal deputy Fábio Reis states that the PMDB is underrepresented in the Marcelo Déda (PT) government.
According to him, the current climate is conducive to administrative reform, to revitalize the government, and to provide "a better response to society." From a political standpoint, he says that a change is needed to "rebalance the party composition" in the administration and calls for more space for the PMDB party.
“My colleagues in the PMDB and I, for example, feel underrepresented by the party's nominations, and we have also lost influence in the government with Jorge Alberto's departure from the Civil House. I have already presented this to the party president. It is necessary for the party to regain its influence and for state and federal deputies to also have a say in the party's nominations,” he stated.
Fábio also reinforces that Jackson is the name of the governing bloc. "The PMDB will not give up on this," he stresses. He argues that the party should increase the number of candidates for state and federal deputy. "It's a national requirement," he points out. According to Fábio, the PMDB can elect three federal and five state deputies.
