PT Fortaleza executive committee organizes Luizianne Lins' pre-campaign.
Among the decisions of the Municipal Executive Committee is the forwarding of talks with political parties to discuss possible alliances and meetings with social movements, candidates for city council, and internal factions of the party.
Ceará 247 - In a meeting yesterday, the Municipal Executive Committee of the PT Fortaleza decided to promote a series of activities to organize the pre-campaign of the party's candidate in the capital, former mayor and federal deputy Luizianne Lins.
Among the actions proposed by the Workers' Party executive committee is a meeting between the candidate and all internal factions of the party, as well as meetings with non-partisan social movements and with Workers' Party pre-candidates for the City Council.
The Executive Committee also determined that the coordinator of the Workers' Party campaign, Waldemir Catanho, should begin talks with political parties to discuss possible electoral alliances. This is certainly the most complex task given the party landscape in Fortaleza and the restrictions imposed by the party's National Directorate, which prohibited alliances with coup-supporting politicians, and by the Municipal Meeting, which approved a resolution expanding this decision, prohibiting alliances with parties that supported the coup.
