"Ex-gay," Isidório leaves PSB because of homosexuals.

Self-proclaimed "ex-gay," "ex-criminal," and "ex-drug addict," Congressman Pastor Sargento Isidório claims he was suffering persecution within the PSB party because he is now "a man of God," and that "many gay men and women in the party" do not respect his position. The trigger for the congressman leaving the party is the entry of the president of the Gay Group of Bahia (GGB), Marcelo Cerqueira, who will be a candidate for state representative. Isidório is returning to the PSC, the party of his friend and idol Marco Feliciano.

State deputy Pastor Sargento Isidório formalized his departure from the PSB this Tuesday (5). He is returning to the PSC, the party of his idol and friend Marco Feliciano, the president of the Chamber's Human Rights and Minorities Commission, who is considered homophobic.

Isidório states that he is leaving the PSB after an "amicable" conversation with the party's president, Senator Lídice da Mata. The congressman alleges "gender incompatibility with the sexual practices of gays and lesbians within the party."

After creating unease within the PSB party for his declared support of Marco Feliciano and for saying that the party "has many fags and queers," he underwent an internal disciplinary process and was almost expelled from the party.

The final straw that led Isidório to leave the PSB was the announcement of the entry of the president of the Gay Group of Bahia (GGB), Marcelo Cerqueira, who will be a candidate for state representative in 2014. The parliamentarian stated that he could not remain in a party that supported the homosexual cause.

Self-proclaimed "ex-gay," "ex-criminal," and "ex-drug addict," Congressman Pastor Sargento Isidório also claims he was suffering persecution within the PSB party for now being "a man of God." Despite declaring himself "cured of homosexuality," the Bahia state representative stated that he cannot be too close to another man "because the flesh is weak."
