Eliete Amâncio/Alagoas Agency - The State Government, through the Alagoas Development Agency (Desenvolve), is carrying out a strategic plan aimed at improving service delivery on the Maceió coastline. The idea is to provide financial resources to service providers on the capital's coastline, who will have access to a line of credit to expand their business and standardize services on urban beaches.

According to Rafael Brito, president of Desenvolve, the action reflects Governor Renan Filho's commitment to small entrepreneurs in the state and to the tourism industry, in addition to reinforcing his commitment to valuing work conceived from social, environmental, and economic perspectives.

The release of these funds, which begins with visiting and understanding the reality of each small business, promises to attract even more tourists to Maceió. The initiative should also count on the partnership of the Association of Service Providers of the Maceió Waterfront (Aspom).

Following a meeting with Aspom to define the service providers to be visited, Desenvolve will proceed with the first stage of the work, getting to know each service provider who may have access to the Productive Microcredit and Competitive Credit lines, with resources available between R$ 15 and R$ 100, with rates ranging from 1% to 1,6%, a grace period of 3 to 6 months and up to 36 months to pay.

According to Fábio Leão, Director of Development and Projects at the Agency, the format and scope of each deal will define the conditions mentioned above.

Rafael Brito also mentioned the significant incentive that credit lines can provide in changing the standards and services on Maceió's beaches. "Our idea is to encourage local businesses by opening a line of credit. This way, service providers and small business owners can expand their businesses, acquiring equipment and standardizing services in the region, promoting adequate returns and boosting tourism in the capital," he said.

The first phase of the work should begin this month on the stretch between Sete Coqueiros beach and the Alagoinhas club, and later extend to Posto Sete in the Jatiúca neighborhood.
