Company abandons Confis project; impasse with Infraero.
Infraero is attempting to resolve a deadlock between the state-owned company and the construction firm Marquise/Normatel, responsible for the expansion and renovation of the passenger terminal at Confins Airport, in Greater Belo Horizonte. According to the initial contract, signed in August 2011, the works are budgeted at R$ 223,9 million. The expected completion date was January 2014. The consortium reported that the workers were laid off due to the work stoppage during the World Cup.
