On the eve of the election, Dilma returns to Pernambuco.

President Dilma Rousseff (PT) is expected to return to Pernambuco next week to visit the Suape Industrial Complex; after postponing a visit in November, the president is expected to visit the state twice, once to inspect the construction of the Abreu e Lima Refinery and another time to attend the inauguration of the Vard Promar shipyard, which has been operating since July of this year; the trip should serve to reinforce the origin of the investments, since the ships ordered from the shipyard were requested by the Federal Government through Transpetro – the logistics arm of Petrobras.

Pernambuco 247 - President Dilma Rousseff (PT) is expected to return to Pernambuco next week to visit the Suape Industrial Complex, in Pernambuco, next Tuesday (17). After postponing a visit in November, the manager is expected to visit the State to carry out two visits to the complex, one to inspect the works of the Abreu e Lima Refinery and another to attend the inauguration of the Vard Promar shipyard, which has been operating since July of this year.

The official agenda, however, has not been confirmed. Despite this, the trip should serve to reinforce the origin of the investments, since the ships ordered from the shipyard were requested by the Federal Government through Transpetro – the logistics arm of Petrobras. The manager's visit was confirmed by the state secretary of Economic Development, Márcio Steffani, this Wednesday (11).

With the likely entry of Pernambuco's governor, Eduardo Campos (PSB), into the 2014 presidential race, Dilma's presence in the state considered the socialist's electoral stronghold is essential for the PT's electoral strategy for 2014. During next year's election period, the PT should reinforce the Federal Government's participation in various projects built in Pernambuco, such as the refinery itself and the São Francisco River Transposition project.

Furthermore, one of the party's main focuses will be building a strong platform for Dilma in Pernambuco, where Campos is leading in the polls for next year's election.
