In Beijing, Bahia state secretaries present projects to the Chinese Development Fund.

Strategic projects of the Bahia State Government were presented this Friday in Beijing to the China Development Fund for Portuguese-Speaking Countries; state secretaries Bruno Dauster (Civil House), Jaques Wagner (Economic Development) and Fábio Vilas-Boas (Health), who are part of Governor Rui Costa's delegation to China, presented projects of great relevance to Bahia that could be financed by the Chinese entity.

Bahia 247 - Strategic projects of the Government of Bahia were presented, this Friday morning (1st), in Beijing, to the China Development Fund for Portuguese-speaking Countries. State secretaries Bruno Dauster (Civil House), Jaques Wagner (Economic Development) and Fábio Vilas-Boas (Health), who are part of Governor Rui Costa's delegation in China, showed the projects of great relevance for Bahia that can be financed by the Chinese entity.

"I presented the possibilities for financing projects in the health sector in Bahia. The Fund has 1 billion dollars to support structuring projects," said Vilas-Boas.

According to Bruno Dauster, the fund was presented with projects in the industrial, renewable energy, and agricultural sectors and showed interest in supporting the Salvador Light Rail Vehicle (VLT). "We agreed to continue this relationship. It was a very positive meeting."

Wagner added that the possibility of establishing a donkey breeding farm in Bahia to export the animal's hides to China was presented.

"They have a three-thousand-year tradition of using medicines made from donkey skin to increase vitality and immunity. We also discussed the possibility of this industrialization already being done in Bahia and exporting an intermediate product."
