Eliton: "The government is present in the daily lives of Goiânia residents."
“The Government of Goiás, under the leadership of Governor Marconi Perillo, is present in the daily lives of Goiânia residents, with this latest project delivered in the capital,” said Vice-Governor José Eliton at the inauguration of the GO-080 viaduct, Engineer João Hissassi Yano, on the outskirts of Goiânia towards Nerópolis; according to Eliton, “the viaduct is part of a series of projects already inaugurated to facilitate traffic in Goiânia”; he added that “it is a project that will provide greater fluidity to the city's roads, within a set of urban development actions”; finally, he emphasized that “the Government of Goiás is present in all areas and public services.”
Goiás 247 - “The Government of Goiás, under the leadership of Governor Marconi Perillo, is present in the daily lives of Goiânia residents, with this latest project delivered in the capital,” said Vice-Governor José Eliton on Wednesday (25) during the inauguration of the GO-080 viaduct, Engenheiro João Hissassi Yano, on the way out of Goiânia towards Nerópolis. The road complex extends to Campus 2 of UFG, passing through the access to the São Judas Tadeu neighborhood, with a length of 1,5 kilometers.
According to Eliton, "the viaduct is part of works that have already been inaugurated to facilitate traffic in Goiânia," he states. He adds that "it is a project that will provide greater fluidity to the city's roads, within a set of urban development actions." Finally, he reinforces that "the Government of Goiás is present in all areas and public services."
In an interview, Eliton emphasized that Governor Marconi has determined that the resources derived from the sale of Celg will be applied to structural works in the State, "that can impact the State's development process." "These are investments in the area of highways, in the area of innovation, and in the area of transportation modes in Goiás," he stated.
According to the vice-governor, the resources will also be distributed among the municipalities, with a "municipalist perspective." "I will visit numerous cities and discuss this with mayors, council members, and society in general, so that we can have a shared approach," he said. "Thus, we will apply the resources, which are finite, to those demands that are priorities for administrators and the population," he explained.
The works were carried out by the Goiana Agency for Transport and Public Works and budgeted at R$ 30.214.127,19. The construction of the GO-080 overpass is part of the program to improve urban intersections with state highways on the outskirts of the capital.

The president of Agetop, Jayme Rincón, states that the overpass "prevents traffic congestion." "We solved the problem. No governor has done for Goiânia what this governor has done and continues to do," he said.
For the construction of the GO-080 overpass over Avenida Perimetral Norte, the following services were carried out: removal of the old road surface, construction of two lanes in the section between Avenida Perimetral Norte and the access to Campus 2 of UFG, pavement with hot-mix asphalt concrete (HMA). Horizontal road markings with reflective markers, vertical signage, and the construction of concrete barriers separating the lanes were also implemented.
