Eliseu Padilha is doing well after surgery in Porto Alegre.

Accused of using Michel Temer's best friend, José Yunes, as a "mule" to deliver a package of money from Odebrecht, the Minister of the Civil House, Eliseu Padilha, underwent prostate surgery on Monday afternoon (27), at the Moinhos de Vento Hospital, in Porto Alegre; a medical bulletin released by the hospital reports that the surgery was successful and that Padilha is doing well; Padilha will remain under medical monitoring for 48 hours in the post-operative recovery room.

From Agência Brasil - The Chief of Staff, Eliseu Padilha, underwent prostate surgery on Monday afternoon (27), at Hospital Moinhos de Vento, in Porto Alegre. The medical bulletin released by the hospital reports that the surgery was successful and that Padilha is doing well.

Padilha will remain under medical monitoring for 48 hours in the post-operative recovery room.

"Patient Eliseu Padilha underwent a surgical urological procedure under general anesthesia, which proceeded without incident. His general condition is stable. He will remain in the post-operative recovery room under monitoring for the next 48 hours," states the note signed by doctors Claudio Telöken and Nilton Brandão.

The minister has been on medical leave since the 20th of this month, when he was admitted to the Army Hospital. He was discharged from the hospital on the 22nd and has been in Porto Alegre since then. In September, Padilha, who is 71 years old, was hospitalized for blood pressure problems.
