Dunga is back.

In Dunga's interview, it became more than clear that his objective with the Brazilian national team is short-term: for the 2018 World Cup. The coach dismisses the idea that he might be starting a football renewal project for thirteen or fourteen years from now.

As everyone expected, Dunga is back in charge of the national team.

The concepts of the supreme leadership of our football have changed very quickly this time. When they talked about a restructuring of football, I expected someone who would actually come to make a change, not the coach invented by Ricardo Teixeira in 2006.

To get straight to the point, Dunga's interview made it more than clear that his objective is short-term, for the 2018 World Cup. He rules out the possibility of starting a football renewal project in thirteen or fourteen years.

"Immediacy" is the right word to use at this moment. The club directors need someone to protect them from criticism or to be praised during times of victory; they don't want to be in the spotlight for anything.

That's what we have for now; we've missed a great opportunity for renewal and long-term structuring of our football. Nothing more could be expected from those in power at the highest governing body of national football.
