Doria attacks France, weakening Alckmin.
The PSDB's pre-candidate for governor of São Paulo, João Doria, has launched a legal and political offensive against the governor and pre-candidate for re-election, Márcio França (PSB), for alleged misuse of public resources and personal promotion. This clash is causing concern among those close to former governor and presidential hopeful Geraldo Alckmin, as França and Doria are allies of Alckmin and support him in his presidential race.
SP 247 - João Doria, the PSDB's pre-candidate for governor of São Paulo, has launched a legal and political offensive against Governor Márcio França (PSB), who will be running for re-election this year.
The clash is causing concern among those close to former governor and presidential candidate Geraldo Alckmin because França and Doria are allies of the politician and support him in the race for the presidency of the Republic.
Doria's pre-campaign lawyer, Flávio Henrique Costa Pereira, filed a class action lawsuit last week against França, accusing the PSB member of misusing public resources and engaging in personal promotion at an official event on May 5th in São José do Rio Preto.
"He gave a speech that had an electioneering tone and then released a video on the government's social media that looks like an advertisement," said Pereira.
