Dominguinhos' condition worsens and he returns to the ICU at Sírio Libanês Hospital.

Singer and accordionist Dominguinhos, hospitalized at the Sírio Libanês Hospital in São Paulo since December of last year, has returned to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmia, respiratory infection, and fluctuating blood pressure; according to a medical bulletin, "the patient is breathing with the aid of machines and his overall condition is considered serious"; the musician had left the ICU in April.

PE247 – Admitted to the Sírio Libanês Hospital in São Paulo since December of last year, the singer and accordionist Dominguinhos returned to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) last Monday (7), with a diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmia, respiratory infection and fluctuating blood pressure. According to a medical bulletin released by the hospital unit, “the patient is breathing with the aid of machines and his overall condition is considered serious.". The accordion player had left the ICU in April.

Dominguinhos was admitted to the Santa Joana Hospital, in the Derby neighborhood, in the central region of Recife (PE), on December 17th, with pneumonia and heart problems. While still in the Pernambuco capital, the accordion player underwent a procedure to have a temporary pacemaker implanted.

Due to his increasingly critical condition, the musician was transferred to the Sírio Libanês hospital on January 13th. Dominguinhos left the ICU in April, and a month earlier, his son Mauro da Silva Moraes said that the accordionist's condition was irreversible. Born in February 1941, the singer is a native of Garanhuns, in the Pernambuco countryside, and is considered the successor to Luiz Gonzaga, the King of Baião.
