Domingos Neto defends Eunício for Governor of the State.
The regional president of the PSD party, federal deputy Domingos Neto, has been advocating for Eunício Oliveira to head the opposition ticket against the reelection of Governor Camilo Santana (PT) in 2018. According to the congressman, Eunício has an advantage because he ran against Governor Camilo Santana (PT) in the 2014 election, because he is the president of the National Congress, and because he is part of the allied base of the Michel Temer government.
Ceará 247 - The regional president of the PSD, federal deputy Domingos Neto, assures that the opposition has a strong candidate for the 2018 elections. "The priority for running for Governor is Senator Eunício Oliveira," he states. According to him, the PMDB member has an advantage because he ran against Governor Camilo Santana (PT) in the 2014 election, because he is president of the National Congress, and because he is part of the allied base of the Michel Temer government.
Domingos Neto also believes that the strength of Eunício's name would bring about a balanced agreement among the opposition in forming the rest of the ticket, since Senator Tasso Jereissati has declared he has no interest in running for governor. The stumbling block, however, could be state representative Capitão Wagner (PR), who makes no secret of his desire to occupy the Palácio da Abolição (Governor's Palace).
