Dilma leads the race for the Senate in Minas Gerais.
The Paraná Research Institute indicates that Dilma Rousseff leads the race for a Senate seat in Minas Gerais with 24,4% of the vote intentions; Aécio Neves, one of the main orchestrators of the 2016 parliamentary coup against Dilma and a figure in several corruption investigations, appears in second place in his state, with 21%.
Minas 247 - A study conducted by the Paraná Research Institute indicates that former president Dilma Rousseff (PT) leads the race for a Senate seat in Minas Gerais with 24,4% of the vote intention. Senator Aécio Neves (PSDB) follows with 21% of voter preference. If this situation remains until October, Dilma and Aécio will be elected and will share the Senate floor for the term beginning in 2019.
According to the research, in third place in the preference of Minas Gerais voters is the candidate Mauro Tramonte (PRB), with 15,7% of voting intentions. Next is Rodrigo Paiva (Novo), with 13,7%. The remaining candidates, combined, have 46,9% of voting intentions.
The survey polled 1.850 voters in 85 municipalities across the state between May 18 and 23. The confidence level is 95% and the margin of error is 2,5% for the overall results. The survey was registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number MG-09497/2018.
