Dilma inaugurates stadium in Natal: "We will host the World Cup of all World Cups"

"It's not possible to bet on the worst. Every governor, mayor, and businessman is responsible for the stadiums in Curitiba and will complete the stadium on time," she said.

247 - President Dilma Rousseff (PT) reiterated this Wednesday (22) that Brazil will host the "Cup of Cups". The statement was made to the press after the inauguration of Arena das Dunas, in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, the seventh stadium to be completed for the World Cup.

"This country is the country of football. We have never missed a World Cup. We have always had a very strong relationship with the World Cup because we are a country passionate about football. I am sure that the Brazilian people will demonstrate, in addition to their immense passion for football, their ability to welcome visitors," he stated.

She also said that Brazil is a country "that not only has something to offer in terms of development, income distribution and improvement in the lives of its people," but also has great football stars, such as Pelé, Cafu, Bebeto and Neymar, as well as coaches Felipão and Parreira. "I am sure that we will host the World Cup of all World Cups," she stated.

The president recalled that the Arena das Dunas "came out 3% below the budgeted price" and said she believes the stadium's construction in Curitiba will be completed in time for the World Cup. "It's not possible to bet on the worst. Every governor, mayor, and businessman is responsible for Curitiba's stadiums and will deliver the stadium on schedule," she stated.
