Dilma inaugurates Arena PE on May 14th.

PE247 – The governor of Pernambuco, Eduardo Campos (PSB), will meet with President Dilma Rousseff (PT) on May 14th, when the first match will take place at Arena Pernambuco, a stadium currently under construction in São Lourenço da Mata, in the western part of the Recife Metropolitan Region (RMR). This will be the first visit by the PT president since the start of the PSB's party political broadcasts, featuring the governor and whose motto is "It is possible to do more" for Brazil.

The governor, who has expressed satisfaction with the completion percentage of Arena Pernambuco (95%), which will have a capacity of 46 people, will likely avoid discussing the presidential elections, as he has done before. However, this time, Campos will have the opportunity to highlight the stadium's location, which aimed to decentralize investments in Greater Recife, something that, along with those underway in the interior of the state, is the main hallmark of the governor's administration.

In turn, what is expected of President Dilma is a more outgoing profile, especially since the Northeast is her main stronghold. Interestingly, according to a survey by the Maurício de Nassau Research Institute (IPMN), conducted on the 1st and 2nd of this month to find out how the population of Recife evaluates the presidential candidates, Dilma (36%) and Campos (34%) appear technically tied. Will this be another "love-hate" encounter?
