Tensão
During the vote, in yesterday's session, the deputies disagreed over the possibility of splitting the vote for the vice-president and secretary positions. The proposal was reportedly presented by parliamentarian Bruno Toledo (Pros) and defended in plenary by Olavo Calheiros (PMDB) and Isnaldo Bulhões Jr (PMDB).
Marcelo Victor (PSD), who was later elected to the position of 1st Secretary, said he would "leave Alagoas with his children" if the idea went ahead. After almost an hour of discussion, Luiz Dantas (PMDB) rejected the request and maintained the bloc election.
"The names put on the ballot are the result of group work that discussed and reached a consensus around this bloc. In other words, a natural political process. Postponing the election and wanting to split the vote is unacceptable. It's an attack, a coup," said Victor, who was also accused by the president of saying "unpleasant things" in his ear.
Bruno Toledo, who nearly defeated the government, revealed that the formation of the ticket was a result of and a reaction to "the iron fist of some members who considered themselves the owners of the Assembly." Despite sending this message, he did not specify which parliamentarians these were.
