Luciana Genro, the PSOL presidential candidate in 2014, reacted to a statement by former Lava Jato lawyer Beatriz Catta Preta that she left Brazil because she felt threatened and intimidated by the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry): “The testimony of lawyer Beatriz Catta Preta on Jornal Nacional is a bombshell. Cunha has to fall,” tweeted Luciana.

Upon moving to Miami, she stated that she decided to drop the cases of the clients she was defending in the Operation because she felt threatened and intimidated by members of the Petrobras CPI, especially after the testimony of Júlio Camargo (one of her former clients) who mentioned the payment of 5 million dollars to the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Eduardo Cunha (PMDB).
