DEM and PT live in a stable union in Bahia.

It may indeed be a good, strictly institutional relationship, but the peace-and-love atmosphere surrounding Governor Jaques Wagner of the PT party and the new mayor of Salvador, ACM Neto of the DEM party, continues to attract attention.
Under the title 'Abadá', a note in the Painel column, in Folha, highlighted in this Wednesday's edition (9) yet another friendly act between the two managers.
"In an atmosphere of peace and love since taking office, former rivals ACM Neto (DEM) and Jaques Wagner (PT) yesterday signed a joint sponsorship contract for the Salvador Carnival," says the Painel note.
Although both sides dismiss the idea, some see the possibility of ACM Neto and the DEM party softening their rhetoric of 'fierce opposition' against President Dilma Rousseff and, by extension, against the governor of Bahia.
On Monday (7), Folha said that there was an ongoing operation for the Democrats to 'break away' from the PSDB and that the orchestrator of the movement was the mayor of Salvador. However, the national president of DEM, Senator Agripino Maia, vehemently denies the information.
Locally, what seems like madness to some is seen as sound by others. A group of city councilors from parties that form part of the state government's base were discussing yesterday the move to help Wagner finally win over the young Democrat.
The objective, according to the parliamentarians, would be to make ACM Neto abandon the idea of reciprocating the PMDB's support in the elections last October and instead raise the banner of the Caixa's Vice President of Corporate Banking, Geddel Vieira Lima, for the state government in 2014.
Democrats deny the possibility.
Speculation aside, Wagner and ACM Neto continue hand in hand, 'for the good of Salvador'.
