Datafolha: Alckmin 50%, Skaf 22%, and Padilha 11%

A Datafolha poll released this Thursday, October 2nd, shows the reelection of Governor Geraldo Alckmin, of the PSDB party, with 50% of voting intentions; Paulo Skaf (PMDB) appears in second place with 22%, and Alexandre Padilha (PT) in third with 11%; blank and null votes are at 7%, and undecided voters are at 7%. In the previous survey, conducted by the institute on September 29th and 30th, Alckmin had 49%, followed by Skaf (23%) and Padilha (10%). The margin of error is 2% plus or minus.

SP 247 - A Datafolha poll released this Thursday, October 2nd, for governor of São Paulo shows Governor Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB) in first place with 50% of voting intentions. Paulo Skaf (PMDB) appears in second place with 22%, and Alexandre Padilha (PT) in third with 11%. Gilberto Natalini (PV), Laércio Benko (PHS), and Gilberto Maringoni (PSOL) each have 1%. Other candidates did not register any votes. Blank and null votes account for 7%, and undecided voters also represent 7%. 

With that percentage, Alckmin would win the reelection race in the first round. In the previous survey, conducted by the institute on September 29 and 30, Alckmin had 49%, followed by Skaf (23%) and Padilha (10%).

The research was commissioned by TV Globo and the newspaper "Folha de S.Paulo".

The survey was conducted on October 1st and 2nd. 2.112 voters were interviewed in 60 municipalities across the state. The margin of error is two percentage points, plus or minus. The confidence level is 95%. The survey is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under protocol numbers SP-00054/2014 and BR-00933/2014.

In the same survey, voters also responded regarding their assessment of the Alckmin government. According to Datafolha, 48% said it is "excellent or good." Another 34% stated that it is average. Those who say it is "bad or terrible" total 17%.
