Daniela Mercury speaks out after fight with Anitta's electric trio.
Mercury said that younger artists should respect their elders.
247 - Daniela Mercury spoke out about the fight involving Anitta's float during the Salvador Carnival. The veteran singer was irritated because the Rio de Janeiro singer's float started earlier than scheduled, thus disrupting Daniela's performance.
At the time, Mercury said that younger artists should respect their elders, and the statement went viral. Now, she has explained the situation.
“I didn’t even realize it was Anitta who was there. I’m friends with her, I like her, everything’s fine, it’s just a matter of Carnival logic. I didn’t even know it was her behind me,” she said, according to rreport from the Metrópoles portal.
The celebrity also explained that, in the Salvador Carnival circuit, it's necessary to maintain organization because the floats follow one behind the other. In this sense, the vocals can become intertwined, disrupting the performances.
"This is a custom of those who don't celebrate Carnival in Salvador, because in other parts of Brazil, the trio (sound truck) goes out alone, one trio carries 1,5 million people, 2 million... Here there are 100 trios, everyone is leaving from the same place," he pointed out to Gshow.
