Cruzeiro signs Dagoberto, formerly of Inter and São Paulo.

Minas 247 - Cruzeiro finalized the purchase of 100% of the rights to striker Dagoberto, who was at Internacional-RS, this Tuesday (08/01). The player will sign a three-year contract with the Cruzeiro club. The board did not reveal the financial details.

The player, who has also played for São Paulo and Atlético Paranaense, is leaving the Inter squad and will travel to Belo Horizonte this Tuesday to undergo medical exams and sign his contract. At São Paulo, Dagoberto was a two-time Brazilian champion, between 2007 and 2009, playing alongside striker Borges -- whom he will now reunite with at Cruzeiro.

Dagoberto emerged as a promising player for Atlético-PR, the Brazilian champions of 2001. Six years later, he transferred to São Paulo after a legal dispute with Atlético-PR. Dagoberto himself paid R$ 5,4 million to leave the Arena da Baixada. With São Paulo, he won the Brazilian championship in 2007 and 2008. In five years at São Paulo, he played 241 games, scored 61 goals, and suffered from injuries. In 2012, he changed scenery. He went to Rio Grande do Sul to play for Internacional, who paid R$ 1,4 million to the São Paulo club to release the player three months before the end of his contract. In the 2012 Brazilian Championship, he scored six goals.
