Criminals set fire to buses in Maceió.

The attack occurred in the working-class neighborhood of Mutange, in Maceió, when a criminal group boarded a bus and forced the passengers to disembark; one suspect was detained by a Military Police team; this is the second wave of bus attacks recorded in Maceió this month. Alagoas247 - A bus belonging to the São Francisco company was set on fire, on Thursday afternoon (18), in the Mutange neighborhood, in Maceió, after criminals invaded the vehicle and forced the passengers to get off. During their escape, the bandits tried to approach a second bus, but were unable to carry out the action.

The attack took place on Avenida Major Cícero de Góes Monteiro, in front of the headquarters of the Alagoas Education Workers Union (Sinteal). According to the Military Police (PM), initial information indicates that five men participated in the attack. There are no reports of injuries.

One of the suspects was apprehended by a patrol team from the Radio Patrol Battalion that was passing near the Center for Applied Teaching and Research (Cepa). He will be taken to the Central Police Station, where he will be questioned about his alleged involvement in the crime. The police did not release the detainee's name.

The second vehicle attacked belongs to the Veleiro company. Since the bandits were unable to break into the bus, they threw stones and partially destroyed it.

In the Trapiche da Barra neighborhood, on Avenida Cabo Reis, a bus belonging to the Piedade company was also attacked by criminals, who even set the vehicle on fire. However, the population helped fight the flames and the fire was extinguished. According to police officers from the 1st Battalion, the bus was removed from the scene.

SECOND WAVE OF ATTACKS THIS MONTH
